Please read these terms carefully before using the Sarothi platform. By using our service, you agree to these rules designed to ensure a fair academic environment.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sarothi ("the Service", "Platform", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. User Accounts

To use the core features (Syllabus Tracking, Study Log, Leaderboard), you must register for an account.

  • Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding the password or Google account you use to access the Service. Sarothi is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
  • Accurate Info: You agree to provide accurate information regarding your batch (HSC/SSC) and educational institution. This ensures your leaderboard ranking is valid.
  • One Account Per User: Creating multiple accounts to manipulate leaderboard statistics is prohibited.

3. Code of Conduct

Sarothi is built on the principle of academic honesty. By using this platform, you agree NOT to:

Manipulation

Reverse-engineering the API, using bots, or writing scripts to artificially inflate your study hours or syllabus progress percentage.

Disruption

Attempting to bypass security measures (RLS), injecting malicious code (XSS), or overloading the servers (DDoS).

4. Educational Disclaimer

Sarothi is an organizational tool, not an educational institution.

  • No Guarantee of Results: While our algorithmic goals are designed to improve efficiency, using Sarothi does not guarantee specific grades in HSC/SSC exams or university admissions.
  • Syllabus Accuracy: We strive to keep the syllabus data (chapters/topics) updated with the latest NCTB curriculum. However, officially published textbooks should always be your primary source of truth.
  • Service Availability: We do not guarantee that the Service will function uninterrupted or be available at any particular time. We are not liable for study time lost due to technical outages.

5. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Service or request data deletion via the Privacy Center.
